Solugenix is hiring for the role of Senior Automation Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Identifies test cases and creates or updates test case documents with assistance from the core engineering team.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Executes test cases, identifies bugs, evaluates bugs with appropriate priority and severity, and reports bugs.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Identifies the gap between the function specifications and implementation.
- Understands the functionality of the entire product and takes ownership of the hotfixes allocated to him/her for testing.
- Provides recommendations for enhancing product features.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Load testing using the open-source tools.
- Experience in the UI/Functional automation – Selenium
- API automation using Rest Assured.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in testing web-based products/projects.
- Ability to work in a team and challenging environment.
- Knowledge of different types of testing and testing strategies.
- Understand the SDLC, Agile/SCRUM concepts, and software release cycle.
- Knowledge of stress and performance testing is desirable.
- Knowledge of automation tools is desirable.
- Knowledge of TFS/Jira.
- Excellent Oral and Written communication skills.
- Excellent Team Player skills.
- Should have built an automation framework/library from scratch
