AT&T is hiring for the role of Senior Associate Software Engineering!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, architects, and QA to gather and review software requirements and user stories.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and high-performance software applications.
• Develop backend services primarily using Java and Perl, ensuring clean, reusable, and efficient code.
• Build and enhance frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Create and execute automated test plans and strategies (unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing).
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including configuration and environment-related problems.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Optimize application performance, monitor production environments, and support incident resolution.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices; proactively propose improvements.
• Ensure adherence to security policies, compliance standards, and coding best practices

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Perl development.
• Solid experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Proficient in frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Node.js.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Skilled in database technologies including Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Unix Shell Scripting and PL/SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Proficient in software development lifecycle (SDLC) phases: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code and applications
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in full stack development with a focus on Java and Perl.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines, e.g., Jenkins, Git, and automated testing frameworks.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven design.
• Understanding of application security best practices and tools.
• Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools
