The Role
Senior Associate Technology – Java is responsible for leading a team of developers and writing backend Java code utilizing frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate. 

Key activities for the role will be:
• Gather and document requirements for IT platforms;
• Lead, mentor and supervise the development team of 3-6 people;
• Work with Architects to translate system architecture into application design;
• Create and evolve robust and scalable software design solutions;
• Write unit test cases and perform unit testing;
• Develop performance test cases and perform performance testing;
• Install and maintain development and test environments;
• Perform monitoring, maintenance and support activities for production and other critical environments.

Mandatory Experience:
• 3-5 years of work experience in Java
• 2-3 years of team leading experience
• Fluent spoken and written English communication skills
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of working with Java 8 and higher
• 3+ years of experience with the Spring and Hibernate frameworks
• Knowledge of developing web applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of writing SQL queries
• Strong knowledge of developing REST APIs 

Preferred Experience :
• Ability to create UML use case, class, sequence and activity diagrams
• Experience working in the Logistics domain
• Experience designing OpenAPI based APIs
• Experience integrating Java backends with mobile application
