Standard Chartered is hiring for the role of Senior Associate-Backend Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Responsibilities that are related to the development and implementation of a strategy, for example, Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
- Responsibilities related to the delivery of business and / or financial objectives, for example, Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
- Reference the processes for which the Role Holder is responsible, as per the Operational Risk Framework definition of first / second line, for example, Responsible for executing and supervising the Budget process.
- Reference all responsibilities related to people and talent matters, for example:
- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
- Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
- Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
- Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
Requirements:
- Should able to lead a team and will be responsible for delivery of software/product to production
- Mentor & provide guidance to members in development and testing methodologies.
- Will be responsible for entire features and will be a full-time member of the Engineering team.
- Should follow good engineering principles to build high quality software.
- Be an integral part of an Agile engineering team and work interactively with fellow engineers and product owners.
- Actively participate in agile development process and peer to peer code review sessions.
- Work on the establishment of CI / CD frameworks
- Java/J2EE Tech lead-
- Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, Web Services, XML
- Should have hands-on experience in UI Technologies - Angular JS, React JS, Node JS, HTML
- Should have good understanding of DevOps tools and test automation framework
- Experience in migrating applications to CI/CD pipeline using tools like GIT/BitBucket, Jenkins, Jira, Ansible, Rundeck
- Well-versed with Agile methodology and global delivery model.
- Understanding of Object Orient Programming and Functional Programming paradigm.
