Gremot Mobility is hiring for the role of Senior Application Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Understand Customer Requirements and provide technical support on issues of motion controls.
• Program Motor Controllers to suit a specific Customer Application.
• Select the most suitable motor or motor controller for a particular application based on concepts of linear vehicle dynamics.
• Sales and Marketing Support
• Customer Visits to gauge Customer readiness levels.
• Recommend new/updated products to suitable customers.
• Role will include travel to both customer facilities, homologation test facilities and on road testing in remote locations based on customer requirements.
• Role will involve building custom test vehicles (2W/3W/AGV's) for testing out different motion control strategies.
• As a Lead Engineer, you will have a team of up to 10 engineers reporting to you from across the country for a variety of projects. 
• As compared to an individual contributor, your role will be to approve parameter files for different motor control applications
• Lead Prototyping projects and build vehicles in house for internal validation on different types of vehicles. 

Requirements:

• Analog and Digital Electronics/Wire Harnessing
• Connect and work with a variety of sensors for data logging currents, voltages, torque and speed.
• Work with Contactors and Relay Circuits as required for different safety logic circuitry.
• Ability to read Wire Harness Diagrams.
• Control Systems
• Ability to tune a PID Speed Control Loop or other systems as the need may arise.
• Vehicle Dynamics
• Understand the relationship between friction, aerodynamics and gradients and how it affects vehicle power requirements.
• Understand the relationship between motor controls and vehicle handling on a variety of road surface types
• Familiarity with Electronic Test and Instrumentation like Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi Meters, Function Generators and so on.
• Write basic scripts in Python for debugging and CAN Communication using a Raspberry Pi or equivalent device.
• Work with CAN Bus and CANOpen Protocol for data logging
