Oracle is hiring for the role of Senior Application Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Build large-scale cloud infrastructure for multi-tenant environments, powering integrated cloud services, with a focus on reliability and innovation.
• Offer unique opportunities for skilled engineers to tackle complex problems in highly available, distributed services.
• Apply software engineering principles to address large-scale infrastructure and operational challenges, aligning with DevOps practices.
• As a senior engineer, create ultra-scalable systems to manage cloud service operations, emphasizing reliability and automation.
• Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration in alignment with DevOps principles.
• Responsibilities encompass designing and developing infrastructure software, enhancing reliability, scalability, and reducing operational burdens through automation.
• Design and architect large-scale distributed systems while contributing to service capacity planning, demand forecasting, performance analysis, and system optimization.

Requirements:

• BE degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience
• Have at least 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience working with Linux operating systems, software configuration, networking, standard internet services, cloud computing patterns, technology security, and compliance
• Experience on any public cloud like OCI, GCP, AWS, or Azure is desirable
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix commands
• Experience automating tasks with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, etc.
• Experience with development in programming languages, databases, and container technologies.
• Experience working with distributed and highly available systems managed using Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform
• Experience with tools like Ansible, Chef, Kibana and Grafana
• Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive
• Deep understanding of service metrics and alarms through the development of dashboards, service KPIs, alarm systems
• Experience with technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Redis, Elastic Search, Memcached, etc. is a plus
