McAfee is hiring for the role of Security Researcher!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Understand threat telemetry trends and identify patterns to minimize detection time.
• Develop automation to collect malware threat intelligence from sources such as product telemetry, OSINT, Dark Web monitoring, and spam monitoring.
• Create early detection and alert systems for threats using online platforms and product telemetry.
• Use data mining tools to analyze information based on intelligence inputs.
• Analyze malware communication and techniques to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOC) and Indicators of Attack (IOA).
• Write malware descriptions for platforms like McAfee Virus Information Library, Threat Advisories, Whitepapers, or Blogs.
• Collaborate with team members across different global time zones.
• Engage in both self-driven and team-based threat intelligence gathering and analysis.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a Security, Threat, or Malware Analyst.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python, along with packages like numpy, matplotlib, and seaborn.
• Experience with data access tools such as Spark and SQL is desirable.
• Familiarity with UI and dashboard tools like Jupyter and Databricks is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
