Guardian is hiring for the role of Security Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide tier-two operational support for resolving incidents and outages in information security technology across multiple domains.
• Lead team efforts to improve process efficiency and identify automation opportunities.
• Conduct regular assessments of SOC workflows to address deficiencies and identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform malware analysis, SIEM (Splunk) management, and administration of endpoint and network security technologies.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve customer issues, analyze problems, and implement service improvements.
• Execute daily security technology administration tasks and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Validate and update dashboards and alerts to reflect new threats and environment changes.
• Support Security Operations team projects and initiatives.
• Safeguard customer data and infrastructure from cyber threats.
• Follow ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.
• Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (2-4 years) in building and operating security controls in at least two domains such as network security, endpoint security, DLP, and IAM/UBA.
• Understanding of security architecture, troubleshooting, and operating principles for Windows and Linux systems.
• Proficiency in SIEM management, endpoint security solutions, and security incident handling.
• Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions and secure data practices.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence and the ability to use it to enhance security posture.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities.
• Effective team collaboration and independent project contribution skills.
• Recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or public cloud certifications.
• Familiarity with security standards like NIST, ISO27001, OWASP, HIPAA, and others.
• Understanding of ITIL and experience with incident, problem, change, and risk management.
