Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Scrum Master is responsible for creating and onboarding project teams, integrating them into the organization and providing a clear vision of the product. In addition, the Scrum Master:

• Acts as a custodian for the Agile process and ensures all scrum processes are used as intended
• Protects the team, removes barriers to successful implementation, and keeps them focused on the task at hand
• Collaborates communicates dependencies and builds relationships with other Scrum Masters and Product Owners
• Helps the Product Owner maximize productivity
• Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
• Maintains the product backlog and release plans, and communicates clearly with the Product Owner
• Publish reports to ensure the Product Owner is updated about the team’s progress
• Facilitate communication and information exchange between external groups and the project team
• Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of and experience with well documented and successful Agile techniques e.g., User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, Handling bugs etc.
• Experience using one or more agile delivery tools such as Jira/AWS/Git/Azure
• Experience in managing and tracking team velocity and other KPIs concerning the project
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Certified Scrum Master or other related certifications are a plus
• Proven work experience as a Scrum Master managing Agile projects or similar role who can lead and guide the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
• Good command of Microsoft Office tools including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, as well as Agile tools like Jira, Rally, VersionOne, and ClickUp
• Sufficient technical aptitude to be able to validate developer feedback on estimates and statuses, and to be able to communicate questions to Product Owners or other stakeholders to remove blockers
