YouTube is hiring for the role of Scaled Abuse Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Performing fraud and spam investigations using various data sources, identifying product vulnerabilities, and driving anti-abuse solutions. 
  • Working with engineers and interacting cross-functionally with non-technical stakeholders to improve workflows via process improvements, automation, and anti-abuse system creation.
  • Managing technological solutions for streamlining quality assurance and produce scalable training solutions for emergent workflows.
  • Applying statistical methods to data sets to understand the impact of abuse to the YouTube ecosystem. Contribute strategy and development of new workflows against additional known vectors of abuse.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience managing partnerships with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams.
  • Experience with data analytics.
  • Experience in programming and use of analytical tools (e.g., Python, R, Jupyter notebooks) for data analysis, experiment design, and precision analysis for automation.
  • Experience with consultative problem solving and project management.
  • Knowledge of high-level product and policy to inform judgment and justification in determining presence/absence of abusive behavior and justify a proposed course of action.
  • Ability to translate analytical insights into business strategies and actions.
