HSBC is hiring for the role of Risk Screening Processor!

Responsibilities of the Candidate :

• Comparing names, addresses, and vessel details against watchlists using advanced screening technology, both during customer onboarding (KYC - Know Your Customer) and through ongoing monitoring, to proactively identify and prevent prohibited activities.
• Performing thorough due diligence and escalating high-risk alerts as appropriate.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation to support compliance activities.
• Ensuring adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with internal teams to enhance the effectiveness of sanctions screening processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• One to three years’ experience in trade processing, such as trade life cycle, payments, securities, international trade, receivables, or related trade activities.
• Solid understanding of key regulatory frameworks, sanctions regulations, financial crime risk management, and export control requirements
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to accurately distinguish between false positives and genuine matches.
• Proven capability to identify high-risk activities and escalate cases appropriately.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, target-driven environment.
