Researcher 2 - Systems and Cloud Intelligence Job in Bangalore at Microsoft

• Research to advance the state of the art in machine learning for systems. For instance, multi-constraint optimization, bin packing, time series and causal analysis. 
• Work with a small group of fellow research scientists and product engineering teams to execute practical solutions for real-world impact. 
• Drive the end-to-end research agenda from establishing the problem definition to building algorithms, tools, and models. 
• Publish and contribute to top scientific conferences and journals.

Requirements:

• Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Statistics, Operations Research, Machine Learning, Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.  
• Research experience and publications in top conferences/journals in at least one of the following areas: statistics, machine learning, optimization, causal inference, systems, software engineering. 
• Broad and solid understanding of common statistical and machine learning techniques, both classical machine learning and deep learning. 
• Strong analytical, applied research, and communication skill. 
• Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative and lead engagements as required. 
• Working knowledge on cloud service infrastructure and system design. 
• Experience with working on big data pipelines and cloud solutions.
