Research Associate (Economics/Development Studies) Job in Delhi at Centre for Studies of Plural Societies

Centre for Studies of Plural Societies is hiring for the role of Research Associate (Economics/Development Studies)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate: 

• Lead and oversee research projects related to economic and development studies 
• Assist the Project Head
• Guide researchers in the project
• Ensure outreach and partnership with the  academic community of economic/development studies including universities and institutions
• Provide appropriate support to researchers in writing, editing, and publishing research results 
• Lead and develops internal and external research and policy networks 
• Edit articles, reports and research papers for the website
• Write reports and research-based articles to a high academic standard
• Assist the outreach, communications and implementation of CSPS activities  
• Contribute to event organization, including meetings, conferences and seminars (and webinars), invite experts as speakers and discussants for special event series and other events
• Contribute to policy brief preparation

Requirements: 

• MPhil or PhD (desirable) in Economics/Development Studies
• Strong research skills, including experience with econometric software such as STATA, R, SPSS etc
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
• Familiarity with economic theories, data analysis, and research methods
• Knowledge of development issues and policies, including poverty reduction, inequality, and sustainability
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience in publishing research articles and reports
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
• Experience working in a research or academic environment
• Excellent writing and speaking communication; fluency in another Indian language is desirable
