Intel is hiring for the role of Reliability CAD Tool Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Conduct die-level EM/IR analysis with past work experience in this area.
  • Facilitate digital EM/IR tool flow enablement, qualification, and new capability development.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure quality assurance of process design kit (PDK) collateral. This includes PDK run set, PDK extraction, and modelling transistors for Intel design teams.
  • Develop automation of QA flow methodologies for specific technology nodes to scale up QA coverage.
  • Document and monitor QA results, potentially developing test patterns to qualify the physical design rules.
  • Perform validation for the PDK library covering collaterals, partition cells, 3DIC packaging, and back-end physical design checks.
  • Ensure that design teams meet the requirements of the process node.
  • Lead root cause analysis for issues related to designing a specific process technology and drive initiatives to enhance design methodologies.
  • Create and maintain technology files with symbols, device parameters, Pcells, design verification decks, layouts, process constraints, design rule checks, and/or layout versus schematic run sets for silicon designers.
  • Resolve issues and bugs found within the PDK collateral.
  • Build test structures and run simulation, physical verification, and parasitic extraction to ensure proper model and design solutions.
  • Deliver design flows, guidelines, and tutorials through sample design databases, test chips, and libraries.
  • Collaborate with silicon design, process engineering, and high-volume manufacturing teams to identify new process technologies and ensure new solutions are of high quality and ease of use.
  • Work with EDA vendors on tool improvements to enhance performance and add functionality.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • B.Tech or M.Tech in Microelectronics or VLSI
    • Requirements can be met through a combination of industry-relevant job experience, internship experiences, and/or schoolwork/classes/research
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Additional qualifications beyond the minimum requirements are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates
  • Possess knowledge of digital semi-custom flow
