Education/Qualification:

  • Graduation Degree;
  • MBA in Marketing/Sales/Operations will be preferred
  • Experience: Should have minimum 8 years of experience of working in a General Insurance Company, Corporate Agency, Insurance brokers, etc. with minimum 3 years of experience of managing large teams (more than 10 people).

Skills:

  • Should have good analytical and problem solving skills
  • High degree of credibility and excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability to work with technology.
  • Should have Industry understanding and competitive awareness
  • Well versed with MS Office

Job Responsibilities

Business planning

  • Identifying the potential market size of the assigned geography and create a plan to develop agent base to acquire a healthy market share.
  • Identify potential locations in assigned geographical locations & recruit right team members to develop business generated from the location.
  • Design business plan for driving sales and achieving set top-line and bottom-line targets for the locations being managed
  • Provide team members the required support in terms of guidance on business matters/ solutions for challenges faced etc. to ensure that they are equipped to deliver targets while optimizing turnaround time
  • Drive business for the assigned region by leveraging on functional run campaigns, incentive plans to ensure team exhibit right behaviour & to increase number of customers converted in markets managed

Relationship Management

  • Identify focus areas/ target customer segments for team members / key intermediaries and guide them to maximize revenue generated from identified target segments and resolve business issues, if any
  • Analyse performance of team members in various LOB’s and enable development of product portfolios for them accordingly to ensure maximization of lead/ revenue generated by each team member.
  • Provide inputs to central teams in designing and driving campaigns/ programs for team members to develop and enhance their sales capabilities
  • Design and drive engagement/recognition programs for partners to ensure they are appropriately incentivized and motivated to drive business while increasing visibility of PBPartners to open avenues of new business acquisition.
  • Manage relationship with key channel partners to understand their requirements, resolve any challenges faced by them and keep them engaged to drive high sales and business
  • Provide input to Zonal head in design of new products and revisions required in existing products basis feedback from Channel Partners (based on their market understanding)

Team Review, Monitoring & Support

  • Review sales and quality metrics of the portfolio across each agent segment and support the team with data inputs to achieve the targets and improve quality of portfolio
  • Ensure every ASM visit the location of their respective RMs at least twice a month & meet key channel partners during the location visit to discuss business development & address issues / concerns, if any
  • Ensure all team members are registering requisite sales call / meetings & monitor quality of sales meetings registered & share feedback with team members.
  • Ensure product & renewal portfolio is as per the desired metrics to maintain cost of acquisition of business
  • Provide guidance to all team members to course correct in case of deviations from planned targets
  • Present business status report to zonal head and National Sales head during periodic reviews
  • Address operational issues, policy issuance support, App and journey concerns, interdepartmental conflicts raised by team members to ensure seamless business acquisition.

Team Development

  • Identify the right talent for various positions within team to ensure creation of engaged team.
  • Enable training needs identification and ensure periodic trainings for all stakeholders – team members, agents etc. to ensure everyone is up to date with product and process advancements.
  • Oversee rewards and recognition within team to ensure engagement and reinforcement of right behaviors among employees and agents.
  • Establish individual performance expectations and evaluation metrics, and regularly review individual performance.
  • Identify and create development opportunities for team members to enhance functional knowledge.
