• Key Knowledge / Skills Required
  • Hands-on experience in "Refrigeration & Air Conditioning" product design, development, and product testing (cycle balancing) for light commercial projects.
• Detailed Knowledge/Skills
  • Proficient in the development of Ducted Split Air Conditioners and Cassette Type Air Conditioners (preferred).
  • Thorough understanding of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, from ideation to mass production.
  • Strong knowledge of air-conditioning systems and the design of cycle parts, including heat load calculation, compressor selection, heat exchangers, cycle balancing, and energy efficiency.
  • Experience in preparing NPI documentation.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing BOMs and 3D/2D drawings.
  • Ability to lead product development to meet technical requirements while adhering to cost and timelines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Indian and international standards related to air conditioners, including BEE star rating upgrades and QCO-related standards for room ACs, cassette, and ducted split products.
  • Conceptual knowledge of thermodynamics, heat mass transfer (both convective forced and natural), and fluid mechanics.
  • Experience with certification tests, including standards, conducting tests, analysis, and implementing countermeasures.
  • Proficiency in product benchmarking to generate organizational value.
  • Skills in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) generation.
• Tools
  • Proficiency in Windchill PLM system.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD Modelling, specifically SolidWorks.
