R&D Engineer (ML) - Audio Systems Job in Hyderabad at Qualcomm

Qualcomm is hiring for the role of R&D Engineer (ML) - Audio Systems!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Work with R&D engineers to help to design, evaluate, and demo new speech and audio features containing machine learning approaches.
• Prove the algorithm performance, you will develop a demo prototype and work with various teams to commercialize the new feature, on this process you will:
• Translate feature requests into sets of engineering requirements.
• Review existing state-of-the-art methods in the literature and propose potential solution directions.
• Train new ML models using PyTorch (preferable) or TensorFlow for the target application.
• Demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed solution through performance evaluations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Coding experience in Python.
• Knowledge of one of the NN training frameworks: PyTorch (preferred) and TensorFlow.
• Familiar with common neural network architectures, namely LSTMs, CNNs, RNNs, etc.

Preferred:

• Coding experience in Matlab.
• Interested in working with cutting-edge applications and learn how to make them products.
• Willing to work in cross-disciplinary, geographically dispersed teams.
• Knowledge of traditional signal processing theory on any of the following.
• Active noise control.
• Acoustic Echo cancellation and noise suppression.
• Adaptive filtering for audio applications.
