JP Morgan is hiring for the role of Quantitative Research Sales Analytics!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Contribute directly to the business and client franchise; identify and generate revenue opportunities;
• Understand the market drivers behind market moves and their cross-asset and cross-market implications;
• Work with cutting-edge technology and analytics to generate trade ideas;
• Design and develop software frameworks for analytics and their delivery to systems and applications;
• Proactively identify opportunities for QR to leverage data and analytics to enhance the Sales business;
• Diligently architect and manage the evolution of the model development and user interface code base, including collaborating with other teams to maximize scale and leverage across the organization

Requirements:

• Demonstrate quantitative and problem-solving skills as well as research skills;
• Have excellent practical data analytics skills on real data sets gained through hands-on experience, including familiarity with methods for working with large data and tools for data analysis (pandas, numpy, scikit, TensorFlow)
• Interested in applying agile development practices in a front-office trading environment;
• Demonstrate proficiency in code design and programming skills, with a primary focus on Python;
• Quickly grasp business concepts outside your immediate area of expertise and adapt to rapidly changing business needs;
• Think strategically and creatively when faced with problems and opportunities.
• Attentive to detail and easily adaptable;
• Enthusiastic about knowledge sharing and collaboration;
• Have strong interpersonal skills – you listen and communicate in a direct, succinct manner;
• Advanced degree (MSc or equivalent) in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, etc.
• Relevant academic research publications are a plus;
• Market experience and general trading concepts and terminology are useful to be familiar with;
• Knowledge of options pricing theory, trading algorithms, or financial regulations.
• Experience with data schemas and data structures would be useful in this role;
• Orientation towards careful system and solution design and implementation;
• Robust testing and verification practices
