Quality Lead - Data Platform Job in Hyderabad at Hitachi

Hitachi is hiring for the role of Quality Lead - Data Platform!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute an end-to-end testing strategy for the entire data platform, from raw data ingestion to the final Tableau dashboards.
• Test Automation: Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks (primarily in Python) to validate data transformations, business logic, and data quality rules.
• Data Validation: Use advanced SQL to perform rigorous data validation, comparing data between source, curated, and final reporting layers to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  BI Report Testing: Collaborate with the BI Developer to functionally test dashboards, verifying calculations, filters, and visuals against the source data.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track data quality issues to resolution, working closely with the data engineers to implement fixes.

Requirements:

• QA Automation: As noted, strong experience in test automation, specifically using Python and associated testing frameworks (e.g., pytest).
• Advanced SQL: Expert-level SQL skills are essential for writing complex queries to profile and validate large datasets.
• ETL/Data Pipeline Testing: Proven experience in quality assurance for data warehousing,
• ETL/ELT pipelines, and BI projects.Analytical Mindset: A meticulous, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and the ability to systematically identify the root cause of data discrepancies.
