About this Job

Quality Engineer – Pressure Vessels:

  • Conduct inspections and quality control assessments for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other critical equipment in compliance with international standards (ASME, API, ASNT, etc.).
  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant tests on pressure vessels and associated equipment.
  • Review and approve weld procedures and work instructions for fabrication and repairs.
  • Ensure all pressure vessel design, fabrication, and installation processes meet industry specifications and safety standards.
  • Monitor the performance of nodulizers, heat exchangers, and related equipment, ensuring timely and effective preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for any quality-related issues, deviations, or non- conformities and suggest corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Prepare and review inspection reports, documentation, and certificates of compliance.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure materials and components meet quality standards.
  • Lead and participate in audits of quality management systems, as well as internal and external inspections.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and maintenance teams regarding pressure vessel and heat exchanger inspection, repair, and maintenance.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry standards and certifications to ensure continuous compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, and testing of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, nodulizers, and other refinery and oil & gas equipment.
  • Proficiency in NDT techniques such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to pressure vessels and industrial equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, communicate with stakeholders, and provide clear technical explanations.
  • Experience working in a refinery or oil & gas environment is highly desirable.
  • Certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ASNT Level II or III, AWS, etc.) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with equipment such as separators, filters, columns, and reactors.
  • Advanced proficiency in inspection software and tools.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific project management and risk assessment techniques.
