Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
• Creation and execution automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues.         .
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.
• Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• To perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement.
• Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in their assigned area of expertise

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for RESTful and SOAP APIs using tools such as Karate.
• Creating and executing test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Implementing service virtualization to simulate downstream dependencies and ensure continuity during testing cycles.
• Collaborating with developers, QA leads, and business analysts to define test strategies and resolve defects.
• Performing regression, performance, and security testing of APIs.
• Generating detailed test reports and dashboards using tools like Apache POI, Karate, and HTML reporting utilities.
• Validating API responses and database records using custom DB validators and response validators.
• Ensuring integration of API testing within CI/CD pipelines and Agile workflows.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia, SoapUI).
• Proficiency in Java-based automation frameworks and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with service virtualization tools (e.g., CA DevTest).
• Familiarity with data-driven testing and parameterization using external datasheets.
• Experience with database validation and SQL queries.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Good to have Certifications in API testing or automation tools.
• Experience working in financial services or regulated environments.
