Quality Assurance Senior Analyst Job in Chennai at Citi Bank

Citi is hiring for the post of Quality Assurance Senior Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Support initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production. Testing specialists who work with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach.
• Conduct a variety of moderately complex process monitoring, product evaluation and audit assignments; reports issues and makes recommendations for solutions.
• Ensure project standards and procedures exist, are fully clearly documented and followed throughout the software development life cycle; make recommendations for enhanced documentation.
• Monitor products for conformance to standards; monitor processes for conformance to procedures.
• Document findings and performs preliminary root causes analyses to provide recommended improvements.
• Ensure all corrective actions are assigned, documented and completed.
• Verify traceability in project work products.
• Gather, maintain and create reports on quality metrics.
• Exhibit good understanding of procedures and concepts within own technical area and a basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.
• Make evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
• Provide informal guidance to new team members.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
• Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years Quality Assurance (QA) experience in the Financial Service industry preferred
• Experience in requirement reviews & able to identify, communicate and document discrepancies.
• Understanding of QA within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
• Understanding of Quality Processes
• Demonstrated logical analysis skills, attention to detail and problem solving Proven ability to work to deadlines.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• QA Experience in defining, designing & executing test cases
