Sparkcognition is hiring for the role of Quality Assurance Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and performance thoroughly.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing of web-based applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Utilize browser development tools and Postman to inspect and troubleshoot web applications, APIs, and HTTP requests/responses.
• Develop automated tests using Python and C# to streamline the testing process and enhance test coverage.
• Identify, report, and track software defects using issue-tracking systems such as JIRA and work with the development team to resolve them promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the software testing process and advocate for best practices in testing methodologies and tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience with proficiency in testing web applications and RESTful APIs
• Experience using browser development tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools) and API testing tools like Postman
• Programming experience in Python and C# for test automation and scripting
• Familiarity with test frameworks such as Cypress, PyTest, or NUnit
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Self-motivated with a passion for software quality and continuous improvement
