QA Engineer Job in Mumbai at Purplle

Purplle is hiring for the role of QA Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop and execute automated regression and functional test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines.
• Write and run API automation tests (REST/GraphQL) using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
• Perform database testing using SQL to validate campaign data, reporting accuracy, and system integrity.
• Support performance and load testing with tools such as JMeter, Locust, or k6.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to define test cases, acceptance criteria, and ensure coverage.
• Perform manual exploratory testing for new features and complex scenarios not yet automated.
• Participate in defect triage, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, automation, and tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–4 years of QA experience, with strong emphasis on test automation.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, or PyTest.
• Experience in API automation (Postman, RestAssured, Karate, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Exposure to performance/load testing tools (JMeter, Locust, k6) is a plus.
• Good understanding of QA methodologies, defect tracking, and Agile practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
