RESPONSIBILITIES:

Estimation:

• Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and QA team members, to understand project requirements and scope.
• Use historical data, past experiences, and relevant metrics to estimate the time, resources, and effort required for QA activities.

Prioritization:

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to prioritize testing activities based on business goals, risks, and customer impact.
• Identify critical paths and high-risk areas within the project that require immediate attention.
• Use risk-based testing techniques to prioritize test cases and scenarios, focusing on areas with the highest potential for defects or failures.

Coordination:

• Monitor progress and performance against the QA plan, identifying any deviations or roadblocks and taking corrective actions as necessary.

Quality Assurance:

• Establish and maintain quality assurance processes, standards, and methodologies.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and testing strategies to ensure thorough product testing.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing as needed.
• Implement automated testing tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and test coverage.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolution of defects with development teams.

Communication:

• Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, management, and project teams.
• Act as a liaison between QA, development, product management, and other departments.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline QA processes and improve efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends.
• Drive initiatives to enhance overall product quality and customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience as a QA Engineer.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching QA engineers.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
