QA Engineer Job in Gurgaon at Orange Mantra

Orange Mantra is hiring for the position of QA Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on the project's functional and technical specifications
• Identify test data requirements and create or obtain necessary test data sets
• Execute test cases and test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and usability of software applications
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure that software meets quality standards
• Document and report defects using a standardized defect tracking system, including clear steps to reproduce and necessary logs or screenshots
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to explain defects and help troubleshoot issues
• Verify and retest resolved defects to ensure successful resolution
• Prioritize and categorize defects based on their severity and impact on the software
• Execute manual test cases and record test results accurately
• Generate test summary reports, defect reports, and other relevant documentation to communicate testing progress and results

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience as a QA Manual Tester or similar role in an IT service-based organization
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, concepts, and best practices
• Familiarity with various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing
• Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Experience with defect tracking systems and test management tools
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results
• ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing is a plus
