Wabtec Corporation is hiring for the role of QA Engineer!

    Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop test plans and execute them as per the project plan.
• Write effective test cases according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored.
• Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.
• Take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using the discretion of senior members to seek help when necessary.
• Works with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.
• Applies principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
• Skilled in core data structures and algorithms.

• BE/B.Tech/MTech in ECE /Computer Science /EEE /IT or MCA
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of QA methodology and industry-standard testing and bug tracking tools.
• Experience with either one of scripting languages: Python/Java-Selenium
• Exposure to standard automation frameworks
• Experienced in developing test strategies, test plans and test cases.
• Experienced in driving quality through the process, instrumentation, requirements and testing.
• Experienced in working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Exposure to tools like Jenkins, Rally, etc
• Experience working in Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience working with relational databases like Oracle, Postgres, and SQL.
•  Experience in working in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) will be an added advantage.
• Experienced in communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings
