MSCI Inc. is hiring for the role of Python Developer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop and implement the validation processes and procedures for industry-adopted financial instruments, statistics, and reporting
• Ensure the 'highest level quality' and the 'fastest time to market' in the industry for financial products, in an exciting role that lies on the cusp of finance and technology
• Ensure MSCI's market-leading analytics continue to provide clients with exceptional analytics quality and sophistication
• Work on complex issues where analysis is required to determine the root source of problems and associated factors
• Perform multi-task assignments in a timely and independent fashion, being detail-oriented
• Automate analytics validation in Python
• Write comparison modules in Python
• Use Azure pipelines and repos
• Use SQL to interact with MS and Oracle DBs
• Utilize GIT
• Participate actively in an Agile software development team
• Manage risk
• Price and value financial instruments

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), quantitative finance, Investment analysis, risk management, or any other highly quantitative subject
• 0–3 years of experience in technical profile
• Some experience with any of the following languages: Java, Python
• Good analytical and quantitative skills
• Detail-oriented approach to daily work
• Strong written and oral proficiency in English
• Strong sense of ownership with projects
• Willingness to learn about capital markets
• Open to learning new, cutting-edge technologies
