Emerson is hiring for the role of Purchase Engineer!
Responsiblities of the Candidate:
- Extract open PO Report - Convert PR to PO.
- Negotiate with the supplier to obtain the best cost (as applicable) and delivery requirements.
- Communicate with the supplier for PO acknowledgement and confirmation.
- Ensure on-time material availability against promised delivery date and build plan.
- Collaborate with finance for supplier on-time payment.
- Support team to prepare monthly/quarterly/annual management reports for suppliers.
- Escalate supplier delivery issues to the supply chain manager and planning team.
- Ensure zero past dues and 100% material availability at the plant against the PO delivery date.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience.
- Excellent computer skills and a technical aptitude that includes strong data gathering skills, expertise, interpretation and reporting for supply chain organization.
- Sound communication skills to deal with suppliers (domestic and global).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data analysis and management.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/supply chain management with 2 to 5 years of experience (Preferred).
