Praan is hiring for the role of Proposal Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Create comprehensive technical proposals, including CAD drawings, system layouts, and technical specifications, in response to customer requests and project requirements
• Design and create technical solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal capabilities
• Work closely with the business development and sales teams to understand client needs and translate them into comprehensive technical proposals
• Visit customer sites with the Sales team where necessary to understand the problems in detail to understand customer problems clearly
• Summarize dust sample tests and generate feasibility reports for industrial customers.
• Work closely with engineering teams to gather the necessary technical inputs, ensuring proposals reflect the latest technical capabilities and innovations
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and cost estimates to determine the viability of proposed solutions
• Utilize Python for data analysis, simulation, and optimization within proposals to showcase technical and performance aspects of our solutions
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical reports, design specifications, and system overviews
• Identify opportunities to streamline the proposal process and improve the quality and efficiency of submissions
• Coordinate the flow of information between internal teams and clients, ensuring that deadlines are met and all technical aspects are well understood

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of experience in a proposal engineering role or similar capacity within a technical environment
• Strong experience in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for creating detailed designs and drawings
• Proficiency in Python for technical calculations, data analysis, and system simulations
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, particularly in mechanical, electrical, and system integration
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly and persuasively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative solutions and proposals
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with product, engineering, and sales teams
