Emerson is hiring for the position of Proposal Engineer

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Analyse customers RFQ (Request For Quote) for project proposals, raise and resolve any queries
• Responsible for the generation of all project proposal deliverables (Bill of Material, Table of Compliance, System Architecture, Technical Solution and Commercial Proposal) using various proposal tools ensuring accuracy and completeness of the financial estimates
• Organize and/or attend internal proposal kick off and review meetings
• Report on assigned tasks and assumes full ownership of assigned actions
• Prepare quotations for Cabinets, sub-assemblies, long Term Service Agreements and issue renewals within the set target
• Work with the sales team to issue several proposals in parallel
• Work on benchmarking exercise for optimum utilization of cost
• Develops proposals for Emerson goods and services
• Review of RFQ’s given by Front Office
• Understand the complete technical requirement, If any drawing available then review of complete drawing
• Participate in Proposal Kick-off meeting
• Assist with to identifying and describing the major non compliances
• Assist with identifying the proposal Buyouts
• Assist with Preliminary Project Execution Strategy
• Assist with Preparing the Table of Compliance
• Assist with Identifying Risks, Certifications & Assumptions
• Technical Solution: Provide technical solution which involves Cabinet proposition, Type of solution required, Selection of all components required
• Take the approval from Manager before submission of Quotation
• Prepare & Submit Quotations

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering
• Strong interpersonal and people management skills
• Working proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Visio, Ppt, PDF etc
• Strong organizational skills
• Good Knowledge of DCS Automation concepts and Project Lifecycle
• Good Knowledge of Power Plant field requirements and interface of third-party systems
• Proficiency in English Speaking is required
