Proposal Engineer Job in Pune at Atlas Copco (India) Ltd.

Atlas Copco (India) LTD is hiring for the role of Proposal Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Be the first point of contact for Customer Centers/ Customers for RFQ/New project requests.
• Analyse requirements of customers and applications and translate them into a well-thought-out and designed OFA StandardPlus proposal including costings.
• Evaluate customer/end-user RFQ requirements and specifications independently and translate the customer needs to our product portfolio.
• Estimate together with the team the feasibility of a project in all its facts and internally agree with relevant departments.
• Provide technically correct & commercially valid quotations by adhering to company processes.
• Understand Compressed Air system applications and be able to provide Pre-Calculation, Selection, and sizing of equipment correctly.
• Work along with the Sales /Customer Centre team for the selection of AC make equipment and propose system design for Compressed Air system applications.
• Provide exact delivery lead time estimates to the customer of the required machine by coordinating with the factory and supplier.
• Prepare a technical sheet that should be self-explanatory for the project.
• Led, organized, and coordinated the assigned proposal work during different proposal phases.
• Manage multiple proposal requests from different Customers and Sales.
• Be capable of balancing and managing cost pressure from customer requests and internal execution for tough competition cases and complex projects.

Requirements:

• University degree in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical/Electrical or Instrumentation)
• 3 to 5 years experience in Proposal engineering preferably in Rotating Machinery Background
• Sound knowledge of Screw & centrifugal compressors
• Able to read & understand P&ID, GA, Layouts, Installation, System architecture, etc.
• Sound Knowledge of Electrical Equipment drawings, Instrumentation & Control drawings/documents
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office
• Knowledge of pressure vessels and heat exchangers is an added advantage
