UNDP is hiring for the role of Project Officer (Strategic Planning &Monitoring)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Develop a strategic plan for the PVTG Development Mission and its implementation, including the identification of key performance indicators, targets, and milestones.
  • Design criteria and indicators for baseline, a framework for impact assessment, strategic planning with Central Ministries and states to monitor the allocation of funds as per the designed criteria, budget analysis, as well as provide inputs for convergence with state-specific schemes.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, etc.
  • Support the development of a knowledge management system, including the establishment of a database to track mission performance, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Undertake Gap analysis and inputs in implementation. Provide regular reports based on data analytics on the progress and gaps.
  • Ensure that project contributes to the promotion of gender equality by reaching, involving and benefiting both women and men in its activities (gender mainstreaming).

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Social Sciences, rural development, development management, social work, public policy or related   field   is required.
    • A first level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Experience:
    • Up to 2 years (with master’s degree) or minimum 2 years (with bachelor’s degree) of experience in a similar field - development management/ studies, rural development, social work, public policy.
    • Good understanding of tribal development-related schemes/programs, especially for PVTGs.
    • Prior experience in using Monitoring and evaluation tools is an asset.
    • High level of IT/computing skills (minimum: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge of and experience in gender mainstreaming is an asset.
    • Sound knowledge of development challenges and solutions for Scheduled Tribes with specific focus on PVTGs will be preferred.
    • Experience in Monitoring and evaluation in social sector/Tribals schemes and programs.
    • Experience of working in government/international agency-funded projects is desirable.
  • Required Languages:
    • English
    • Knowledge of Hindi is an added advantage.
