ABB Group is hiring for the role of Project Engineer Process Power Manager!

Responsibilities of the Candidate: 

• Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments
• Handling testing, installation and commissioning activities
• Assisting in preparing proposals/presentations of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.)
• Supporting the Contract Manager in change management (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.)
• Creating work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility
• Reviewing and approving scope, budget and schedule for assignments and ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost
• Completing Power Management system-related risk and opportunity assessments and ensuring implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility
• Assisting customers with technical issues, interacting with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables
• Assisting communication about specific assignments or meetings
• Collaborating with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers
• Providing technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accepting fit-for-purpose supplied equipment or services
• Maintaining a network of engineering professionals and sharing engineering best practices in different projects and disciplines

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Diploma in electrical and electronics engineering
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Engineering and Commissioning of Power Management Systems (PMS) covering the functionalities of Primary equipment monitoring and control, Load shedding, Load sharing, Synchronization etc
• Hands-on Experience in designing the substation network architecture of control systems
• Hands-on Experience in control philosophy for process/power plants
• Hands-on Experience in Software, Hardware design and test experience with any of DCS
• Working Knowledge futility Communication Protocols like IEC61850, OPC, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 101,104, TCP/IP, Prefab’s, Profinet, Fieldbus, SPA
• Hands-on experience in Application Engineering with any of the DCS
