UPS is hiring for the role of Programmer Associate!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Prepares project timelines and communicates to the requester to set expectations
• Creates application design documentation for a preliminary view of the request to receive user approval
• Coordinates with process writers to create implementation and training materials
• Builds RPA solutions to user requirements
• Deploys RPA solutions from a development/testing environment to a production environment and monitors deployment
• Monitors scheduled data jobs to ensure timely data loading
• Troubleshoots current RPA solutions to isolate and remediate coding errors

Requirements:

• Possesses strong communication (written/verbal skills) with the ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner
• Demonstrates complex problem-solving ability; synthesizes information from multiple sources (functional requirements, system environment constraints, security standards, technical research) to understand a situation and identify implementation steps
• Possesses advanced programming knowledge with Robotic Process Automation using UiPath with a minimum of 1 year of work experience with RPA development with UiPath.
• Possesses basic programming knowledge across the following technology groups:
  • Database development and SQL query skills using DML (Data Manipulation Language)
  • Application development using DotNet including C#, ASP.net, VB.net
  • Web and integration technologies using JSON, XML, JavaScript, SOAP, and Restful API
  • Microsoft Office automation (Access/Excel/VBA)
• Identifies users’ requirements and needs with guidance from others
• Works with others to research stakeholders' and key decision-makers needs, requirements, and perspectives; describes in general terms customer characteristics, preferences, history, processes, and constraints; lists what products and services are currently used by customers; uses knowledge of customers to provide input into which products or features to promote
• Develops a systematic approach to conducting research; gathers and evaluates information that relates to a research question; utilizes tools that measure data related to a research problem; draws conclusions based on sources of information
• Describes basic categories of data; with supervision, locates and generates reports of existing data naming and structuring standards with supervision; recognizes the need for consistent data terminology and format
• Responds to requests, problems, and critical situations to discover the causes, document findings, and identify responses, next steps, and resolution
