Fiserv is hiring for the role of Professional, Network Operations!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Monitor a vast hybrid infrastructure using Fiserv-defined tools. Collaborate with cross-functional Tech teams to isolate, troubleshoot, and fix network-related issues.
• Work on different networks, FW, and LB platforms like Nexus, Arista, Versa, F5, Palo, etc.
• Deep dive into complex ongoing issues and provide inputs to fast-track the resolution.
• Jump on technical bridge calls and gather the information needed to investigate the high sev issues.
• Participate in inter-departmental planning meetings on suggested solutions for existing issues as well as systemic and process improvements.
• Work with different vendors- for circuit issues like AT&T, Lumen, Verizon, Park plaza, TATA, Airtel, etc.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and escalate Network issues promptly.
• Participate in automation initiatives to achieve operational maturity
• Maintain and enhance current client environment configuration
• Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers.
• Implement and maintain systems security measures
• Assist customers both internal and external with connectivity problems as they relate to the network.
• Use the principles of Incident Management, change management, problem management , monitoring, emergency response, capacity planning, and production readiness reviews to run the infrastructure
• Participate in special project teams, representing network operations on new product designs and implementations. Develop network support structure and process for new BU implementations.

Requirements:

• Thorough understanding of LAN/WAN technology and protocols including but not limited to BGP, EIGRP, HTTP, FTP, TCP, and Spanning Tree.
• Experience in troubleshooting SDWAN technologies
• Experience configuring and independent troubleshooting of Cisco Switches and Routers.
• Experience with troubleshooting WAN and LAN connectivity issues.
• Knowledge of BGP& EIGRP is necessary.
• Knowledge of load-balancing concepts is required. Specific knowledge of F5/Citrix Load balancers.
• Working knowledge of CheckPoint/Juniper /Palo Alto Firewalls is a plus.
• Proficiency in Cisco routers and switches, Microsoft Office Applications, and Visio Diagramming.
• Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills.
• Acumen to assist clients in testing new implementations, new product access, and DR testing.
• The knack of providing Top Notch network Skills combined with excellent troubleshooting
• Manage incidents through to resolution to include: coordinating and test with vendors and customers, internal communication and escalation, and follow-up/documentation of the troubleshooting performed
• Ability to communicate with Business unit management and/or their clients disseminating information relevant to the client clearly and concisely.
• Resolve incidents and deal with difficult situations, bringing professionalism and tact during stressful circumstances while representing the team with quality.
• Participates in Problem reviews, bridge calls, and meetings.
• Performs network changes.
• Assists with Maintenance Windows as needed.
• 3-4 years of experience with Network, Security and LB.
