Schwing Stetter is hiring for the role of Production Engineer - Fabrication!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Supervising Manufacturing Processes: Oversee the SPB35 production operation to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently, adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Process Improvement: Implement strategies to improve production processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency, incorporating principles like lean manufacturing, kaizen, and 5S.
• Resource Planning: Manage the allocation of resources, including manpower, materials, and machinery, to meet production targets effectively.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose production issues, providing immediate solutions to prevent delays and maintain the production schedule.
• Safety and Compliance: Establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Quality Control: Ensure products meet the required standards and specifications, implementing continuous quality improvement practices.
• Training and Development: Train production staff on the proper use of machinery and equipment, safety practices, and efficiency techniques.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with other departments, such as planning, quality control, and maintenance, to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, process improvements, and quality control measures for analysis and reporting.
• Project Management: Plan and manage production schedules and other improvement projects, ensuring projects are completed on time while also handling administrative tasks associated with these projects

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Weld engineering principles in heavy structural fabrication.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, kaizen, and 5S improvements.
• Experience with TPM is an added advantage.
• Education: B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical)
• Skills required: Proficiency in Weld engineering principles in heavy structural fabrication Experience with TPM is an added advantage Knowledge of lean manufacturing, kaizen, and 5S improvements Excellent leadership and communication abilities Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Desired Skills: Welding Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Heavy Fabrication, Lean Manufacturing, TPM
• Experience: 3 to 6 years
