Ciena is hiring for the role of Product Validation Engineer - Optical Network!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design, Develop and continuously improve the Agile CI/CD pipeline Test Automation infrastructure and tools.
• Leverage existing and external tools (3rd Party Open-source tools) to incrementally improve automation infrastructure.
• Develop automation infrastructure for commercial test Equipment solutions (e.g. IXIA, Spirent etc.), libraries for NBI interfaces etc.
• You will engage in collaboration with test engineers to jointly develop and execute test scripts
• Develop test cases based on system requirements and customer use cases for OTN and Photonics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or information technology
• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Strong programming skills in any language PYTHON/C/C++/JavaScript and experience in Linux environment.
• Good knowledge of Telecommunication technologies (Packet, OTN and Photonics)
• Familiarity with distributed systems and their architecture.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-drive demonstrated in projects undertaken.
• Ability to organize work in a structured manner.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and meeting tight deadlines.
• Working as team player who welcomes collaboration.
• Remain flexible regarding your tasks with a positive attitude contributing to better team environment and increased productivity
