Valeo is hiring for the position of Product Technical Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve automotive products, components, or systems.
• Conduct technical analysis, simulations, and testing to evaluate product performance and reliability.
• Participate in the design and documentation of product specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ensure that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Investigate and address any quality issues or defects that may arise during the development process.
• Work on cost optimization initiatives while maintaining product quality and performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source components, materials, and technologies for product development. Evaluate supplier capabilities and performance.
• Manage projects related to product development, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in product design and development.
• Provide technical support to customers and resolve technical issues or inquiries related to products.
• Ensure that products comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and simulation. Knowledge of CAD software is often required.
• Understanding of automotive systems, components, and manufacturing processes is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize product performance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to manage projects effectively, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and regulatory standards relevant to the automotive industry.
• Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.
