Kohler is hiring for the role of Product Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Perform Product cost opportunity in a target-oriented manner through VAVE methodology and cost analytics. Work with cross-functional teams to identify the Products for cost out, analyze and execute the Cost reduction VAVE projects.
• Execute VAVE Design Projects following the Exit Gate process.
• Work with cross-functional teams (Internal and External) in product development.
• Lead the VA/VE Projects to meet/exceed the Annual Targets.
• Participate in VA/VE Workshops for New Idea generations, Work closely with Global VA/VE Coordinators and exchange the VA/VE learnings between the networks.
• Perform cost-out opportunity mining exercises by Pareto analysis, competitor benchmarking & tear down etc.
• Apply VAVE methodologies and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis and finalize annualized savings for a given project.
• Prepare alternate design concept models and drawings using Creo software.
• Use GD&T (Geometric dimension & tolerance) & tolerance stack-up knowledge during drawing/data creation.
• Coordinate the prototype development and verification testing of modified designs.
• Coordinate Innovation idea generation, Patent study, and Improvement initiatives within the department.
• Support the CPD (Current Product Development) activities within the VC India Team
• Create BOMs and engineering change requests and release the revised designs in the Windchill database and SAP.
• Work with cross-function teams and make sure the product changes are in line with the codes and standards and customer value proposition.
• Work closely with the functional team and drive Engineering deliverables for VA-VE/CPD Projects.
• Document all the activities as per ISO requirements and report to the Stakeholders on the recommended frequency.

Requirements:

• B. Tech Mechanical Engineering (From Reputed Institutes, with 1st Division), with (Min. 1-3 Yrs.) of Industrial Working Experience
• Hands-On Working Experience of VA/VE, Cost Innovation Projects in a Global MNC
• Working Experience on Creo (3D Modelling, Assembly, Advance Surfacing & 2D Drafting) of Minimum of 1-2 Years is required
