Whirlpool is hiring for the role of Product Designer II - Industrial Design!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design Analyst designer is responsible for collaborating with senior designers on conceptualization, visualization, and development of new products having an AVERAGE level of difficulty, sense of aesthetics and user experience.
• Works to understand and support the development of User Experience and Brand Design strategies.  
• Develops a basic manufacturing and industry knowledge, user needs, processes, and design influencers to develop a wide range of desirable concepts.
• Learn the product development processes, people, and design values. 
• Manages personal time based on a detailed task list and delivery timelines.
• Capable of communicating design solutions with internal design teams.
• With direction from the supervisor, creates documentation of design assets for various projects.
• Influences peer teams within GCD by creating desirable assets, Develops personal professional skills, Comprehends and executes strategies.
• Supports Senior design staff in the design process to reach clear, defined, and inspiring final design solutions.   With moderate direction, manage creative activities for assigned tasks. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from an accredited school 
• 3-7 years design experience in a corporate or consultant environment 
• 3D Computer modeling & rendering skills 
• Excellent project management and planning skills 
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate communication across different disciplines 
• Excellent decision-making abilities and self-motivation 
• Adaptability and flexibility to change as designs and processes improve over time.
• Excellent 2D visual digital and analog communication skills.
• Strong abilities in sketching, idealization, and conceptualization
• Technical skills aimed to increase team understanding and action: Crafting concept mock-ups, video, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keyshot, and slide presentations.
