Product Designer (Design Systems) Job in Bangalore at Juspay

Juspay is hiring for the role of Product Designer - Design Systems!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design and build a comprehensive design system to unify Juspay’s products, ensuring scalability and customizability.
• Establish a token-based system for colors, typography, and spacing to enable consistency and adaptability across products and brands.
• Create and maintain a component library.
• Design enterprise-ready components with a focus on usability, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and visual clarity.
• Advocate and implement inclusive design practices to ensure the system supports diverse users, including those with disabilities.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate design tokens into React libraries and ensure seamless implementation.
• Write clear and concise documentation for component usage, token definitions, and accessibility guidelines.
• Leverage collaboration tools like Figma and Storybook to streamline design-developer handoffs.
• Drive adoption of the design system by conducting internal workshops and creating training materials for designers, developers, and product teams.
• Develop governance models for feedback and version control, ensuring iterative improvement of the system.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in designing and managing design systems for SaaS platforms.
• Strong understanding of component libraries, design tokens, and scalable UI frameworks.
• Expertise in accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
• Proficiency in Figma, Storybook, and other design-development collaboration tools.
• Ability to write developer-focused documentation for design systems and components.
• Familiarity with React and its integration with design systems is a plus.
• Experience designing for multi-brand or white-labeled environments is a bonus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with designers, developers, and product managers.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term deliverables.
• Empathy for diverse user needs and a commitment to designing for accessibility.
