Koch is hiring for the role of Product Design Engineer!
Responsibility of the Candidate:
- Lead and execute NPD and MOD projects to meet organizational goals and targets.
- Develop concept models, drawings, and product specifications, ensuring alignment with customer requirements (VOC).
- Conduct and facilitate design reviews, DFM/DFMEA/PFMEA sessions, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Perform FEA, stamping, and injection molding simulations to optimize product designs.
- Evaluate and implement new tools and processes to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design optimization, correlation activities, and continuous product improvement.
- Promote innovation, knowledge sharing, and team participation in technology discussions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1+ year of experience in design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as NX and Teamcenter.
- Strong understanding of engineering mechanics, GD&T, and tolerance studies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts effectively.
- Experience with FEA tools like Hypermesh and simulation of stamping or injection molding processes.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA) principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using tools like 8D, fishbone, and cause-effect diagrams.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and product development processes.
- Alignment with PBM philosophy and a proactive, self-driven approach to learning and execution.
