Caterpillar Inc. is hiring for the role of Procurement Quality Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provides conclusions and recommendations for quality issues and/or continuous quality improvement projects.
• Participates in supplier quality improvement initiatives; works with suppliers to develop and improve quality levels. 
• Ensures the reliability and quality of suppliers, implementing process controls, certification programs, evaluations, inspections, corrective actions, audits, and records.
• Identifies quality problem(s) and determines a short-term action plan with the facility management and the supplier.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent experience desired
• Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
• Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
• Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups constructively and collaboratively.
• Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
• Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem-solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Knowledge of responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of procurement function; ability to perform tasks and activities of the procurement functions or department.
• Knowledge of policies, regulations, and processes of purchasing; ability to use practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment, and services.
