Principal Verification Engineer: Compute Subsystem Verification Job in Bengaluru at Arm Technologies

• Develop and run soak tests targeting Arm architecture and IP design to ensure robust performance.
• Debug hardware and software failures within the CPU, IP, and the surrounding system.
• Collaborate with cross-site design teams to discuss and understand verification requirements.
• Build comprehensive test plans focusing on corner cases and critical functionalities.
• Develop specific tests aimed at exploring and validating edge scenarios within the CPU or IP architecture.
• Analyze test results to identify issues, understand root causes, and suggest improvements.
• Implement verification strategies that align with project timelines and goals.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to report progress and challenges.
• Utilize your strong technical background to contribute to the overall success of the verification process.
• Ensure that all developed tests meet the highest quality standards and are repeatable and reliable.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance the verification process and tools.
• Document all test plans, procedures, and results clearly and comprehensively for future reference.

Requirements:

• Possess 12+ years of proven experience in verification of CPU, system IPs, and compute Subsystems.
• Understand CPU or SoC architecture and its verification intricacies.
• Experience system testing using Linux-based benchmark tools or tests.
• Demonstrate proficiency in logical programming using C/C++/assembly.
• Awareness of CPU architecture features such as caches, MMU, SMP, coherency, and CPU pipelines.
• Understand Arm-based systems and protocols like AHB, AXI, ACE, or CHI.
• Excel in problem-solving and debugging tasks.
• Showcase a proven track record of driving project execution and delivery.
• Familiarity with hardware acceleration platforms like Emulation
• Knowledge of industry-standard interconnect protocols like PCIe, UCIe, and CXL
• Use of scripting languages like Perl/Python/Shell
• Knowledge of multi-chipset verification
• Line management and mentoring of other team members.
