Nomura is hiring for the role of Principal Production Services!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop automation standards and deployment methodologies
• Propose, design, and implement solutions to enhance the handling of the network.
• Develop automation to assist in network configuration changes.
• Develop automation to assist in network troubleshooting.
• Mentor fellow engineers on technical issues, standards, and procedures
• Assist in managing continuous improvement of network operational activities.
• Assist in developing operational service metrics with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality/SLO, and goals of the network team

Requirements:

• Strong development skills & experience across a multi-technology landscape.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of turning requirements into viable solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of networking components.
• Background in Infrastructure as Code Principles.
• Exposure to building solutions using Ansible or similar
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform
• Exposure to repositories such as GitLab or GitHub
• In-depth understanding of scripting languages such as Python.
• Exposure to container technology i.e. Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of operating system fundamentals including Networking, CPU, and Memory
• Understanding of network technologies including ACI, EVPN, Load Balancer, Firewalls, Proxy
• Exposure to Network Reliability Engineering (NRE) principals
