Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient AWS PaaS architectures.
• Develop and maintain strategies for AWS PaaS adoption, migration, and optimization aligned with business goals and best practices.
• Lead the modernization and migration of applications to AWS PaaS services.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize AWS PaaS services such as AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda, AWS RDS, and others.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of PaaS services.
• Optimize AWS PaaS environments for cost efficiency and scalability.
• Architect, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Integrate automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes into AWS PaaS environments.
• Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements in AWS PaaS environments.
• Conduct security assessments, audits, and implement necessary controls and monitoring solutions.
• Manage IAM policies and permissions for AWS PaaS services.
• Monitor AWS PaaS service performance, reliability, and scalability using AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and other monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to AWS PaaS services and cloud infrastructure.
• Optimize AWS PaaS environments for improved performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of AWS PaaS environments, configurations, and procedures.
• Prepare and present regular reports on AWS PaaS performance, security, and cost optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant professional training are a plus.
• Experience in system administration, with experience in cloud engineering, AWS PaaS environments.
• Extensive experience with AWS PaaS services such as Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, RDS, ECS, and others.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and configuration management.
