Pricing Analyst Internship in Hyderabad at Advance Auto Parts

Advance Auto Parts is hiring for the role of Pricing Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Enable data-driven business decisions by generating insights from the data to execute the right pricing decisions across multiple channels and discover opportunities of optimizing the pricing strategies.
• Comprehend the business requirements and formulate simple mathematical models to develop the solutions for retail pricing business, promotions forecasting, competitive intelligence, price elasticity, customer segmentation discounts analysis, etc.
• Understand the business dynamics and identify potential business problems that can be solved through simple descriptive analysis and/or by developing advanced data science predictive/prescriptive models.
• Use multiple data systems, tools, and platforms to analyze key business trends, formulate hypotheses, and present meaningful business insights to the pricing leadership team.
• Communicate with multiple stakeholders while owning various business initiatives and delivering quality output.
• Work collaboratively with multiple teams e.g. IT, data governance, merchandise, finance, etc. in a global environment to validate and execute against pricing requests without errors.

Requirements:

• MBA or Masters in Mathematics/Computer Science/Industrial Engineering/Finance from a reputed institution with good academic record.
• Strong business acumen to understand the retail and merchandizing functions.
• Should be a quick learner to understand simple and complex pricing policies and their potential impact on key business metrics.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills with the ability to work in cross-functional cross-cultural global teams.
• Strong applied knowledge of machine learning covering the landscape of classification, regression and in-depth interpretation of outcomes.
• A deep understanding of Analytics techniques to solve business problems will be a big plus. Desirable skills – Python/R, SQL/Snowflake, PowerBI/Advance Excel etc.
