Wipro is hiring for the role of Practice Head!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Holding the overall P&L responsibility for the domain practice, which functions horizontally, and works with the various verticals &accounts at Wipro.
• Developing roadmap for industry segment/competency; Competitive Service offerings, domain embedded solutions.
• Building active partnerships with solution providers alliance partners, and analysts.
• Offering in-depth domain expertise in account engagements.
• Managing team targets and goals in line with a practice plan.
• Building an opportunity pipeline with multiple clients and collaborating with consulting Partners and sales teams in sales activities
• Collaborating with other practices and building bespoke propositions from an understanding of offering and client business.
• Participating actively in an industry or solution-related networking organization in the community (presenting a paper, serving on a committee, etc.).
• Stimulating demand for solutions by adding fresh insight or customizing to meet evolving client/market needs.
• Ensuring projects are adequately staffed and deliver high-quality work.
• Ensuring overall utilization targets for the practice are met, and premium billing rates are realized for the domain experts.

Requirements:

• Subject Matter Expert in the area of specialization ( Sought after as industry expert)
• Understanding of inter- and intra-enterprise business models, market structures, exchange models, and supporting applications
• Deep understanding of the market and external environment (STEPLE* -Social, Technological, Economic, Political, Legal & Environmental)
• Awareness of global industry trends and directions and their impact on services
• May hold membership in a related professional body
• More than 18 years of industry and/or management consulting experience involving industry solution deployment, strategy, planning, and systems design
• Proven ability in building teams from scratch, resource planning, staff planning, and technical planning in support of all domain-related activities
• Proven experience in handling teams, motivation issues & rewards. Has spent sufficient time mentoring, developing, and encouraging, individuals
• Experience across at least 2 Analysis and Advisory Services, Defining and implementing Deploy Recommendations, managing ADM operation-based projects
• Experience in managing P&L / Financial targets of significant size, scope, and complexity
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks to the company in any commercial award
• Contributes to external learning forums, journals, seminars, etc
