Giesecke+Devrient is hiring for the role of Power BI Consultant!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide comprehensive support for our globally Microsoft Power BI platform.
• Serve as the initial contact for all topics related to Microsoft Power BI, ranging from basic architecture to specific reporting issues.
• Manage holistic report lifecycle, including creation, deployment, and visualization.
• Assist colleagues from both IT and business in the BI and data analytics environment, both inland and abroad.
• Participate in data modeling and conduct necessary basic requirements analyses.
• Stay informed about Power BI functionalities and latest developments to create solution concepts for complex requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and implement adjustments to the platform and existing systems.
• Prepare and execute meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Requirements:

• Hold a degree in computer science, economics, or a comparable field.
• Possess strong Microsoft Power BI skills, ideally including DAX proficiency, Data Integration (Data Source Connection, Data Query), SQL knowledge, and Power BI administration (Collaboration, Integration, Gateway connection).
• Have experience in Data Literacy (Modeling, visualization, transformation) and report design.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of designing BI solutions based on modern concepts.
• Have initial cloud experience, ideally with Azure.
• Think analytically and work in a structured manner, with familiarity with semantic and logical data modeling.
• Show practical experience with the Microsoft technology stack, specifically Power BI Desktop, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), and Power BI Report Server.
• Implement complex reporting requirements using Microsoft Power BI, ideally within a corporate setting.
